Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Molding Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic injection molding and be responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of molding processes for medical device components. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, optimize, and validate injection molding processes for medical device components.
  • Design and troubleshoot molds to ensure product quality and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to address and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for molding defects.
  • Implement and maintain process control techniques and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and other regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to equipment, tooling, and materials.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of molding processes and validations.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in injection molding, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, and materials.
  • Proficient in CAD software and mold flow analysis.
  • Experience with process validation and statistical process control (SPC).
