Title: Shipping Clerk
Location / Department: Warehouse Department
Reports To: Shipping Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Basic Job Functions:
Responsible for shipping activities as assigned by the Shipping Coordinator
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Create shipments as Pjobs get released, selecting tickets to meet current customer’s requirements.
- Enter shipments into Accuterm.
- Enter shipments into customer’s data bases when applicable, including publishing shipments.
- Print all Accupac and customer shipping paperwork.
- Reconcile the previous day’s shipments, confirming tickets have been consumed and sending shipping paperwork to the approriate contacts.
- Keep accurate files of both Accupac bill of ladings and all other shipping papers.
- Keep accurate records of Chep pallets being shipped and enter information into applicable data bases, and/or spreadsheets.
- Work with the Procurement group and vendors on all returns.
- Contact carriers to schedule shipments
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Shipping Coordinator.
Minimum Requirements of the Job:
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse inventory and locations systems.
- Solid mathematical skills sufficient to count and reconcile materials and conduct inventory.
- Able to read and interpret documentation, instructional signs and warning placards.
- Able to follow instructions, get along well with others and work in a team environment
- Able to be conscientious, diligent, and pay attention to details.
- Able to work effectively with minimum supervision in a very fast paced environment.
- Able to work different shifts, hours and overtime on short notice
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sustain a minimum of one (1) hour of strenuous activity.
- Able to work different scheduled hours/shifts/days and overtime to meet the manufacturing schedule.
- Able to sit 41-75% of workday
- Able to work in a “dusty” environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Travel: None
Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have previous experience working in a warehouse. Must have good leadership and management skills. Must be HazMat certified.
