We are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineering and Operation Lead to oversee and manage Task 5 within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing, supporting, and growing enterprise-class network solutions in a highly available environment. The candidate must excel in providing high-quality technical solutions, focusing on redundant layer 3 services, secure WAN solutions, and the ability to work across various environments, including VMWare enterprise networked systems and major cloud service provider environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage network engineering projects, ensuring successful deployment of enterprise-class solutions.
- Provide oversight and guidance for Task 5, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Design, implement, and support highly available network solutions, emphasizing redundant layer 3 services and secure WAN solutions.
- Produce detailed technical documents and engineering diagrams to support network design and implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions to a wide range of challenges.
- Manage and maintain a large multi-site layer 3 network using BGP and EIGRP protocols.
- Implement and support next-generation Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies such as GETVPN and DMVPN.
- Utilize VMWare NSX for network virtualization and provide operational support and design expertise within Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud service provider environments.
- 10 years of experience in network engineering and operations.
- Proven expertise in implementing, supporting, and growing enterprise-class network solutions.
- Demonstrable history of leading successful deployments of enterprise-class solutions.
- Strong project lead and management experience.
- Skilled in producing technical documents and engineering diagrams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-focused with strong collaboration skills.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise-class network technologies.
- Proven success in managing all aspects of a large multi-site layer 3 network using BGP and EIGRP.
- Experience with next-generation VPN technologies like GETVPN and DMVPN.
- Significant experience working with VMWare NSX.
- Operational support and design experience within Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud service provider network environments.
- AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- AZ-700: Designing and Implementing Azure Networking
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
