Job DescriptionJob Description

Position: Maintenance Technician – DIRECT HIRE

Wage:$30/hr + per hour; based on experience

Shift: 2nd Shift; Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm; overtime as scheduled

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Observes mechanical devices, equipment and machinery in operation and listens to their sounds to diagnose machine malfunction and determines the need for adjustment, repair and replacement
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications
  • Dismantles machinery and/or equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
  • Adjusts functional parts or devices and control instruments
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Assembles and test operates machinery and equipment to verify correction of malfunction
  • Coordinates with manager and assist with production operator’s timely preventative maintenance and predictive parts replacement and repair
  • Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make metal parts
  • Repairs electrical equipment or replaces faulty wiring, switches, or relays, as qualified to perform
  • Coordinates for outside services when needed
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts, repairs or replacement equipment or pieces

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Maintenance experience in the printing industry
  • Electrical maintenance a plus; but not required
