The manager is responsible for providing quality and efficient customer service to customers through the daily management of a team of employees to include hiring, motivating, recognizing and rewarding, coaching, counseling, training, and problem solving. Additionally, the position is responsible for assisting the President with development, analyses and implementation of staffing, training, marketing, and scheduling and reward/recognition programs. Ensures adherence to all company policies and standards of behavior.
- Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
- Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Achieves financial objectives including preparing an annual budget and analyzing financial reports, managing daily cash flow and enforcing internal controls, scheduling expenditures and ensuring timely communication payables to Finance, initiating corrective actions and coordinating with the financial office as necessary to run day-to-day operations
- Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
- Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining and tracking inventories by utilizing POS software
- Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends
- Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios
- Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
- Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
- Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
- Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Performs all other duties as requested or directed to ensure the continued function of all locations and the organization
- Minimum of three years retail management experience in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to direct the work of others
- Knowledge of retail and/or food and restaurant environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft365 and Point of Sale software with inventory controls
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with all guest services
- Required to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 30 lbs.) on a regular basis
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Exceptional work ethic
- Time flexibility to work mornings, nights, and weekends as requested or demands of the position requires

High school diploma or GED and three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position includes the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard kitchen and office equipment including computers.
Position Type & Expected Hours of WorkThis is a regular full-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.
