Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the medical and education staffing industry. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including tax filings and industry-specific regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting the medical and education staffing sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the staffing industry or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage ) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Experience in a start up is extremely beneficial.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with healthcare or education industry accounting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with staffing-specific financial processes, such as billing, payroll funding, and contract management, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant software applications and tools used in the staffing industry (e.g., applicant tracking systems, vendor management systems) is advantageous.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
