Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is a newly created position reporting to the Controller that will be an integral member of the accounting team. This position is primarily responsible for the Company's accounting activities and for timely and accurate account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have strong accounting knowledge, and be able to flourish in fast-paced organization. We are offering a competitive salary for this position.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

  • Performing basic accounting procedures and journal entries, e.g. A/R, A/P, G/L, and banking

  • Perform weekly cash reconciliations

  • Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts with preparing monthly reports for management

  • Preparing reporting of sales, expenses, and other key financial metrics

  • Assists in monthly closing process

  • Maintains the company fixed asset listing including the addition of new assets, removal of disposed assets, calculation of depreciation.

  • Assisting with the annual financial and 401K audits

  • Producing financial data for management team upon request and assisting with other special accounting projects from time to time

  • Sales and Use reporting and setup

  • Assist state filings and registrations

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance or related field and 3+ years related experience and/or training; required.

  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Public accounting experience preferred.

  • High degree of proficiency with MS Office software, especially Excel, Outlook and Word.

  • High degree of proficiency with financial systems and accounting software.
