Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a master’s degree in family therapy, psychology, counseling, social work, or related field. Must have 5 years’ experience in a child or adolescent setting. Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience or be able to demonstrate clinical leadership. License in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counselor preferred. Completion of Family Based three-year certification process preferred.
This is a full-time position and will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of Family Based Mental Health (FBMH), including financial, administrative, and clinical supervision. Serves as a clinical supervisor of various treatment teams (two-person) who provide service in the community, working to avert the need for referral to a higher level of care or to a more restrictive setting. The Program Director guides treatment teams to use a family systems perspective and intervention skills to involve both child clients and their adults care givers in treatment. This position is also responsible for hiring staff and coverage during staff vacancies.
While we currently have three talented teams of professionals providing services, we are looking for someone with a growth mindset and the ability to coordinate the department’s annual budget, oversee billing process, and maintain compliance with statewide regulations. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and family members, staff, collateral agency workers, and referral sources. The director will oversee collateral contact with county agencies involved in FBMHS and will need to participate in local and statewide administrative and training meetings.
As a part of our Leadership Team, you would be involved in envisioning the implementation, administration, and evaluation of FBMH to meet the current and future mental health needs of the Greater Harrisburg community. Requirements:This position will report to the Chief Program Officer, and will be expected to:
- Provide both administrative and clinical supervision to 6-8 family-based therapists
- Recruit and hire new staff
- Responsible for on-call schedule development and management and required to be on-call during periods of time to all clinical teams and/or designated on-call staff or arrange for director level oversight.
- Participate in budget planning
- Oversee the licensing and credentialling process for FBMH
- Oversight of compliance to state and insurance standards and regulations
- Develop and enforce policies for department
- Monitor and update electronic medical records system
- Participate in leadership team meetings to provide clear direction for the organization
- Organize work and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Adhere to standards, procedures and schedules established by the executive director and insurance payors
- Collaborate with front desk and billing staff to ensure smooth systems and clear communication to clients
- Collaboration with other JFS programs and outside agencies providing similar services
- Perform other duties as assigned
