POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Spanish Case Manager position will report directly to the Program Manager of Gap services and supports the Ukrainian Family Assistance (UFA) and Refugee and Entrant Assistance (REA) programs. Key responsibilities include coordinating reception and placement services to newly arrived UFA and REA families, supervising case management, monitoring financial assistance, and developing individualized service plans. The Spanish Case Manager will regularly engage with families, recruit clients for the UFA and REA programs, ensure compliance with REC, ILC, ECDC, and ORR regulations, compile reports, and communicate with the parent organization, ECDC.

CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION 
 
  • Provide trauma-informed services to newly arriving Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees and South and Central American entrants who qualify.
  • Support all aspects of client reception, placement, and resettlement process for assigned cases.
  • Provide airport reception and transportation to accommodations, as needed.
  • Ensure clients have a full understanding of household appliances and safety procedures through regular home visits to assess their adjustment and needs.
  • Facilitate referrals with healthcare, education, employment, and financial assistance providers.
  • Support clients in applying for relevant public benefits including social security.
  • Formulate a resettlement plan taking individual goals, skills, and available resources into account.
  • Maintain a case file with all necessary documentation and accurate and complete case notes. Complete required case notes and reports on time and in compliance with requirements.
  • Attend team and office meetings on time and with full attention, participate in collective team and office efforts, comply with all ILC+REC and local office policies and practices. 
  • Represent ILC+REC and its programs positively to the community, and contribute to community committees and working groups as applicable 
  • Support REC’s Reception and Placement program team and other teams with necessary arrival preparations for other families as needed 
  •  Other essential activities that promote the organization’s mission 
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Dedication to ILC+REC’s Core Values and Mission.
  • Some education in social work, social services, human services preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience providing case management services is strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience, either professional or lived, with refugees or immigrants 
  • Excellent oral and written English and Spanish language skills  
  • Ability to work nights and weekends: Most work is performed between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays; however occasional weekend or evening work is required when attending recruitment events, receiving clients at the airport, or visiting clients who work during business hours. These hours are flexed to still ensure a 40-hour week.

  • Proficient in using the computer -including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook)- and the ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research and problem-solving purposes. 
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle. 
  
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Workdays pertain to a Monday – Friday schedule with no weekends required unless otherwise specified.

  • Pay rate of $22.88 per hour
