Dean’s Professional Services is seeking a qualified, patient-care focused Certified Medical Assistantto work at a renowned hospital in the greater Houston, TX, area (Spring, TX). Candidates must have a medical assistant certification from a third party organization and a minimum of 2 years recent CMA experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting providers in the administration of patient care in assigned clinical areas.

  • Assists with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatment, and dressing changes.

  • Also performs general administrative duties in accordance with TJC, CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA and government standards, as well as company policies and procedures. All patient care is under the direction of a physician and within the scope of a medical assistant.

  • Prepares and administers medications as directed by the Physician; performs basic laboratory tests, EKGs as ordered or indicated and suture removal and dressing changes.

  • Performs medical histories,providesinstruction to the patientregardingmedications and diet, and authorizes prescription refills as directed.

  • Greets patients and answers phones

  • Prepares, cleans, andmaintainsexam and treatment rooms, as well as supplies and equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ of recent CMA experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER required

  • Must have certification as a medical assistant from a third party organization

  • Must have current BLS certification for healthcare providers through American Heart Association

  • Experience with EPIC (EMR) preferred

  • Must have High School Diploma


Job Details:

  • Schedule: Full time (40 hours/week)-Days-7:15 am - 4:15 am
  • Salary: starting at $20/hour (based on experience) plus benefits
