Your day as a Group Exercise Instructor

Get ready to lead with passion and purpose as a Group Exercise Instructor at the Y In this role, you'll put your training to good use by instructing dynamic exercise classes following the guidelines of the YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise Instructor training. Your top priority?

Ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the class. Would you be a great Group Exercise Instructor?

To excel as a YMCA Group Exercise Instructor, you'll need a solid foundation in physical fitness, exercise science, and various exercise techniques. Moreover, strong group leadership skills are essential for guiding participants through engaging and effective workouts. Experience in the specific fitness program you'll be teaching is a must, ensuring that you can deliver top-notch sessions that keep participants motivated and coming back for more. Additionally, having a current certification or being open to training to obtain one is crucial to maintain the high standards of our program.
