Client Service Associate

As a Client Service Associate, you will work 1 on 1 with your lead advisors to assist with client needs that result from meetings and client reviews. You will assist the advisors in preparing for client reviews, process any follow up for the advisors and be the first point of contact for the clients, being familiar with each of those relationships and able to answer questions and move the ball forward. You will communicate with other team members regarding tasks that require their assistance to serve the clients’ needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support and Manage the Insurance & Investment Business for the advisor including:
- Communicate with clients about their insurance and investment needs and requests
- Manage existing investment client needs (working with our Portfolio Manager when appropriate), service requests, rollovers, tax harvesting, annuities, process retirement required minimum distributions, charitable giving requests
- Prefill and submit paperwork for new and existing business, process and track account requests
- Adhere to standard operating procedures that maintain compliance as a competitive advantage
Support and Manage Key Marketing activities:
- Leverage key marketing resources and tools provided to the firm
- Work with and educate clients on the interactive use of our website
- Reach out to new/potential clients
Support and Manage Financial Plans for the advisor including:
- Create and update individual client planning analyses
- Make/Prepare insurance or investment recommendations for clients
- Continue education to stay on top of current topics and trends for planning
- Assist the advisor with creating vision for our clients’ big picture planning
Administrative Management
- Manage incoming client emails, review and track case notes, assign/manage necessary tasks
- Assist with travel coordination for the Lead Advisor
- Maintain state licenses, continuing education, designation requirements, outside business activity, & disclosures
- Schedule and confirm client appointments and cancellations; reserve conference rooms for in-person meetings
Job Qualifications
- Required
- Life & Health license
- Financial services or insurance industry experience (Northwestern Mutual experience preferred)
- SIE, Series 6, Series 63 licenses (Series 7 preferred)
