Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a Mechanical Assembler, you will be tasked with assembling drilling rigs and sub-assemblies of rigs encompassing tasks that include welding, assembly hydraulic components, electrical components, and basic mechanical fastening. Candidates having automotive or heavy equipment machinery experience preferred. Experience with MIG welding, hydraulics and electrical wire harnessing is a plus. This is a 1st shift position working Monday – Friday.

Requirements
  • Automotive or heavy equipment machinery experience preferred.
  • Experience with MIG welding, hydraulics and electrical wire harnessing is a plus.
  • Participate in an individual drill build team and the MDI shop team.
  • Technician will provide their own standard hand and power tools. Specialty tools will be provided by the company.
  • Maintain a positive “Customer First” attitude and contributing to the team.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble drilling rigs, and sub-assemblies of rigs encompassing tasks that include welding, assembling hydraulic components, electrical components, and basic mechanical fastening.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges. Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment. keep equipment service records.
