We recently opened a new Clubhouse Program in Ramsey County and are seeking a dynamic, organized, and community-oriented Manager to help develop and oversee the daily operations of our new Clubhouse.
Who are we?
The Clubhouse Program at Vail Communities is a community for adults with serious mental illness, serving as a single point of access and coordination based on the Clubhouse Model. We have been serving the Twin Cities for over 40 years Guided by our mission and core values, we offer purpose, direction, and hope.
We believe connecting to a community is not only a basic human need — it's a prerequisite for mental health. People living with SMI need a holistic approach to treatment that addresses social symptoms, as well as psychosocial needs such as employment, housing, and skills development. Our treatment approach, known as social practice — based on the Clubhouse Model pioneered by Fountain House New York City and implemented in Clubhouses worldwide — is designed to do just that.

What will you do?
The Manager of the Ramsey County Clubhouse will develop a deep knowledge of the Clubhouse Model and Clubhouse International Standards while assisting the Director in leading a team to ensure the running of a successful and growing Clubhouse. This position will create an environment supportive of the social practice, supervise Clubhouse staff, ensure consistent and accurate data quality and recordkeeping, and create new or improved means for members and staff colleagues in the work of the Clubhouse, including employment, food service, daily programming and meetings, special events, and more. The Manager of Clubhouse Programs will work with members at the Clubhouse to seek individuals' abilities and strengths and work toward recovery through meaningful activities. The Manager will also work side-by-side with members to engage and participate in a "work-ordered day."
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; valid and current mental health licensure preferred.
- At least five years of experience in mental health is required; experience in Clubhouse is strongly preferred
- At least one year of formal or informal people leadership required
- Demonstrable acumen in learning Web-based systems, e.g., Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Credible (or similar electronic health record system).
- Must have and maintain a valid Minnesota Driver's License, maintain automobile coverage, and have access to an automobile
