The Service/Repair Technician is responsible for providing expert service and maintenance for all products, ensuring they operate efficiently, safely, and meet regulatory standards. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, customer service, and problem-solving skills to address a variety of issues related to pool and hot tub equipment and systems, as well as other products.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and Repair: Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on pool and hot tub equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and control systems. Troubleshoot issues such as leaks, electrical problems, and mechanical failures to restore functionality promptly.
  • Equipment Installation: Install, upgrade, or replace pool and hot tub equipment and accessories according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Ensure proper integration with existing systems and provide guidance to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Customer Service: Interact with clients to assess their needs, provide recommendations, and address concerns related to pool and hot tub maintenance and repair. Deliver high-quality service in a professional and courteous manner, building trust and rapport with customers.
  • Service Response: Respond as directed to service calls and emergencies, such as equipment malfunctions or water quality issues. Prioritize urgent requests and take appropriate action to resolve problems efficiently, minimizing downtime and inconvenience for customers.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities. Document findings, recommendations, and completed work orders for reference and billing purposes. Keep inventory stocked and organized for efficient service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in pool and hot tub service, repair, or installation preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of pool and hot tub equipment, systems, and components.
  • Familiarity with water chemistry principles and treatment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or manufacturer-specific training are advantageous.
