- Evaluate the results of programs and prepare reports and recommendations based on these evaluations.
- Identify and recommend improvements where established technology components and methodology are inadequate for solution.
- Keep informed of the advancement of technology as applied through one's area of technology.
- Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving technical tasks identified by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education: Ph.D. degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years' experience. OR A MS with 8+ years' experience. OR A BS with 10+ years' experience or more.
Experience/Skills:
- Candidate must demonstrate 20 or more years' experience in engineering management related positions, including a minimum of 10 years' experience on DOE projects.
- Candidate must demonstrate experience leading systems engineering teams, with responsibilities including engineering program, plan, and procedure development, value engineering studies, and requirements & assumptions tracking.
- Candidate must be able to work independently and within a multi-discipline team.
Preferred skills:
- Prior SRS Design Engineering experience and working knowledge of SRNS design processes and procedures is preferred.
- Prior Design Authority Engineering Manager experience is preferred.
- Prior Project Engineering experience is preferred.
- Management Certification is preferred.
- Occasional travel is required.
