If you are eager to use your creative talents into meaningful work, The Arc Lexington is seeking a Communication Specialist who will create engaging marketing material, coordinate internal and external communications as well as assist with events. This position plays a crucial role in shaping and maintain a positive image for the people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and The Arc Lexington.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Lexington's website and ensure content is accurate and current.
  • Assist in developing and executing communications such as newsletters, mailings and social media updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the Communications Department

Qualifications:

  • An Associates in Communications or related field is required.
    • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and social media platforms is required.
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License meeting Agency standards is required.
