the opportunity

We're seeking an experienced community leader to join our team as a temporary summer contractor. This individual will play a vital role in activating Dallas-based community events and fostering connections within the community.

the role
 

The Coordinator will prepare for and execute ten community engagements (also known as activations) beginning June through September 2024. Responsibilities include:

Community Activations – Manage and execute community events aimed at fostering engagement and interaction in Dallas neighborhoods. This entails coordinating pre, during, and post-event vendor communication, setting up activation equipment, and ensuring appropriate technology is available onsite.

Survey Collection – Our main goal for these events is to collect survey responses from adults while kids in their care play/engage in activities. You will guide adults to complete their survey in its entirety.

Personnel Engagement – Act as lead point-of-contact for on-site vendors, other event staff, and CoSpero team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to event protocols across all parties.

Children's Area Management – Potential to oversee activities (i.e. bounce house, face painting, etc.) and safety in designated kids' areas during each event,

Bilingual Preferred – Spanish-speaking in order to communicate with community members.

details

Structure: This role will beginning June 2024 through September 2024. 

The selected individual will oversee up to ten 4-hour in-person engagements taking place during the evenings and weekends.

Location: This position is Dallas-based and will require travel to various communities across the city of Dallas.

Compensation: The compensation for this project is $60 per hour with an hourly commitment not exceeding 50 hours.
