Cobb Jewish Preschool offers an excellent environment, a strong and caring administration and a welcoming team of teachers

This job is a 10 month commitment. Starting on August 7th, 2024 and ending on May 31st 2025.
You will have 7 paid days off, available for personal or sick days.
You will also have all Jewish holidays and most Federal holidays off.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool-aged children.
  • Support children during daily routines, including arrival and departure, meal times, toileting, and nap times.
  • Engage children in play-based learning experiences that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
  • Help prepare materials and supplies for classroom activities and projects.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children who may need extra assistance or guidance.
  • Assist with observing and documenting children's behavior, progress, and milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, achievements, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive classroom community.
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing regulations and protocols.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or supervisor to support the overall functioning of the preschool program.
  • Options to work from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm OR 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with preschool-aged children.
  • Basic understanding of child development principles.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Physical stamina for active participation.
  • Genuine passion for working with children
