Role Summary
As a Medical Recovery Services Supervisor, you are responsible for overseeing a team of individuals and monitoring the recovery performance goals by leading, motivating, and driving the Recovery Team. The role is an opportunity to develop and grow a newly created team mixed with seasoned and new employees with both established and new responsibilities, while assisting in the implementation of the department’s strategic roadmap.
Location
This role is an on-site position in St. Louis, MO.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate team culture that encourages teamwork, morale, and performance
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all billing and/or accounts receivable (AR) follow-up functions related to motor vehicle, TPL, and/or worker’s compensation claims (team assignment dependent)
- Manage day-to-day performance and output of 10 to 15 direct reports
- Collaborate with Performance Managers and operations leads to define strategic roadmap and execute on initiatives
- Design, implement, and maintain auditing and training solutions
- Investigate escalated files/events to identify recovery potential and troubleshoot blocking items
- Apply proper maintenance and file handling procedures in accordance with Operations, Compliance and Quality Control standards
- Design and implement corrective action plans

Qualifications
- BS/BA in related field or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of progressive provider revenue cycle and/or revenue cycle vendor experience (past client facing roles preferred but not required)
- Experience working with health information/electronic medical records systems
- Experience managing remote, onsite, and offshore teams
- Working knowledge of revenue cycle metrics and key performance indicators
- Experience with coaching and training employees is required
- The ability to motivate and develop others to consistently achieve goals
- The ability to manage the fine details of work but also know how to talk big picture
- Knowledge of how to use data to guide decisions and performance
- Knowledge on how to implement a change in a process that impacts 15+ people
- Ability to communicate clearly and lead a team
