Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain fixed asset ledger and process additions, retirements and disposal
  • Participate in implementation of new fixed asset tracking system
  • Review subledger for accuracy and reconcile with general ledger
  • Generate depreciation calculation in subledger systems
  • Process and track asset movement from the rental/demo department
  • Transfer assets to the rental site as requested
  • Run demo report daily to make sure all transfers have assets assigned and quantities are correct
  • Ensure all Interface demo asset transactions to the GL and reconcile to zero at month-end
  • Provide auditors with fixed assets ledgers (fully reconciled) at year-end
  • Support annual audit with various requests as needed
  • Prepare journal entries at month-end with corresponding backup and attach in SAP
  • Assist other department members with the reconciliations during monthly closing
  • Review all property and equipment leases and ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Perform other assigned projects and duties as experience grows

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience in fixed assets required
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal accounting controls
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to adhere to closing timelines
  • Strong computer skills including in-depth knowledge of MS Office (Excel including Pivot tables, V-Look Up, Macros) required
  • Proactive, detail-oriented individual who can work well as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Desire to be part of high performing team with advancement opportunities

Computer Skills Necessary:

  • Proficient in ERP Software – SAP Business One preferred
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with lease accounting software preferred

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required
