Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for the daily management of PO’s and delivery updates focusing on maintaining target stock levels in support of on time shipments to customers. The position works closely with supply planning, procurement, and distribution to align production plans with company goals connected to inventory management and maintaining low levels of obsolescence. The successful candidate for this position has experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Monitors/maintains procurement activities and duties in compliance with Husky policies.
2. Coordinate purchase orders, rush requests, and timing of shipments based on production needs.
3. Maintain the ERP system with information as provided from vendors.
4. Execute miscellaneous purchasing/supplier tasks as requested by Materials Manager
5. Maintain positive supplier relationships and communication

Qualifications

1. 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, manufacturing preferred

2. Previous ERP and SCM experience

3. Previous knowledge or understanding of JIT management

4. Bachelor's degree in related field or similar experience
