Quality Assurance Associate

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to join our team This position will perform a final inspection of completed work in order to ensure it was completed in accordance with established procedures. Reject and return to those units where a defect has been identified. Conduct root-cause analysis of defect trends and contribute to the problem-solving process. Provide recommendations on opportunities for improvement within assigned processes.

As part of this role you will:

• Complete review of completed work within assigned processes in accordance with established unit procedures.
• Record and document results of inspections and report worrisome issues and/or trends to the Manager, Quality Assurance.
• Review QC results and recommend opportunities for improvement to processes that will prevent future defects of the same kind.
• Participate in Business Process Initiatives when requested.
• Support the manager in performing special analytical projects when necessary.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Six (6) months of financial service, customer service or related processing experience.
