State Credit Union is seeking a Staff Auditor. Under the supervision of the Director of Internal Audit, the position carries out the duties and responsibilities as dictated by professional standards, and contributes to the credit union's mission by serving a professional role in the Internal Audit Department. The Staff Internal Auditor II performs audit activities for assigned engagements and projects with limited supervision and contributes to the Internal Audit department by completing its audit plan and meeting its goals, objectives, and responsibilities.


*This position is located on-site and does not have remote options*


Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete assignments from inception to conclusion including planning, audit program creation, scope development, workpaper documentation, report writing, and exit meetings
  • Assist with department needs such as audit tracking and follow-up, external audit and examination assistance, and special investigations
  • Maintain working knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of audit work experience. Applicable certifications are preferred.
  • Knowledge and conformance with company and IIA Global Internal Audit Standards
  • Ability to make sound decisions with high accountability while being objective and with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with audit industry technologies is preferred.
