SUMMARY:

The receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring facility security, monitoring key systems, and providing administrative support. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to maintain smooth operations and secure premises.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and support company safety policies.
  • Welcome guests, audit security and safety assets, and report any issues.
  • Manage the front desk: answer calls, handle mail, and assist with admin tasks.
  • Track visitor and contractor sign-ins and ensure proper registration.
  • Monitor security cameras and report any incidents.
  • Work with HR to keep sensitive matters confidential.
  • Manage employee badges and locker assignments.
  • Lead and assist in emergencies (medical, fire, weather, etc.).
  • Responsible for staffing the front desk until properly relieved by the next shift.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in your area.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED and 2+ years’ experience in office, admin, or security
  • Friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Must be a self-starter and driven
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule

Computer and Technology Skills:

The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
