Job Description

Pay rate: 32.94

  1. Assist supervisor to insure that department meets department and company goals and standards of quality, productivity, cost and safety.
  2. Set up/organize department and staffing, make necessary adjustments as needed.
  3. Instruct and direct hourly employees.
  4. Assist hourly employees as needed.
Qualifications

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read written instructions and communicate verbally in English with management and hourly employees.
  • Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for his/hers coworkers.
  • Ability to give instructions and follow-up with hourly employees.
  • Ability to understand and perform the various tasks to standards established for the department.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements; lifting, climbing ladders and stairs, standing for prolonged periods.
  • Work experience specific to the department preferred.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and re-build equipment as necessary.
  • Must have all the qualifications and meet requirements of the Journey 1 Mechanic.
  • Monitor and record all reading to document operation of the equipment and the system. 
  • Must have a good employment record.
