Sunnyhill, Inc. provides services, programs, and opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Sunnyhill serves over 1,000 children and adults, ages 4-85, annually in six St. Louis metropolitan counties. As an ABA Home Manager at Sunnyhill, Inc., you will be empowered, as a caregiver, to help the people we support become productive citizens, achieve their goals, and reach their dreams.


POSITION SUMMARY (day and evening availability required)

  • Completes Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) approved Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) course sequence within two (2) months of being assigned and passes RBT exam within one (1) month of completing course sequence.
  • Work 40 hours per week in the home. Provide 24 hour on call support to assigned work site and respond within one hour to all phone calls. Communicate as needed with Chain of Command, Nursing and/or HR.
  • Check, review, and respond to Sunnyhill emails at least three times per day. Respond within 4 hours and provide follow-up as appropriate.
  • Complete in-home orientation packet with all new RBTs, including staff members filling in at the assigned site. Ensure all staff review and sign that they have read and understand all ISP’s, ISP updates, and BSP’s.
  • Complete 90-day evaluations, annual appraisals, disciplines, and ensure that all assigned staff maintain current certifications as required by agency policy.
  • Ensure that all RBTs have been adequately trained on the Adaptive Equipment Binder (purple) and the responsibilities surrounding all adaptive equipment. Ensure that the People We Support have working and appropriate adaptive equipment for use at all times.
  • Transport individuals to outings and doctor’s appointments, including Emergency appointments such as Urgent Care/ER visits in personal and/or company vehicle as required.
  • Communicate positively and effectively with People We Support, Guardian’s, Case Managers, and other treatment providers in the community.
  • Attend all monthly nursing visits with Sunnyhill Community RN. Review and sign monthly nursing summaries for accuracy and follow-up items. File monthly nursing summaries in the medical book.
  • Ensure all prescribed medications and treatments are available and taken as directed by maintaining current orders and supplies. Review Medication Administration Records (MARS) twice weekly.
  • Maintain staff schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing in accordance with contractual staffing pattern, budgets, and master schedule rules. Fill or cover direct care shifts as needed, and communicate any staffing needs to Program Supervisor and ABA Management.
  • Review all daily log notes written for assigned site and ensure that all notes are written according to DMH regulations and guidelines, and Sunnyhill instructions.
  • Use data from personal outcome tracking to complete monthly outcome reports [MOR]. Each monthly outcome report must be submitted to the ABA Program Supervisor by agreed upon deadline. Review MOR with the person supported and obtain signatures before placing the MOR in the data book by the 15th of the month.
  • Review and approve RBT and Lead RBT mileage in Company Mileage by agreed deadline.
  • Ensure proper oversight of all monies in the home (i.e. PWS financial logs, bank statements, receipts, and check registers) atminimum three times a week. Manage timely/accurate financial logs, bank statements, receipts and check registers. Ensure all receipts are entered and purchases are coded in US Bank.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to ensure that all People We Support maintain eligibility for all applicable benefits, including food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare prescription coverage, etc.
  • Assist with the scheduling of the annual ISP meeting with the support team. Ensure the Sunnyhill annual signature packet is completed and signed by the person we support or guardian. Assist with the creation of the annual goals, milestones, and outcomes for the upcoming year.
  • Meet with DMH Service Coordinator monthly for the face-to-face visit with the PWS.
  • Create monthly team meeting agenda and hold monthly team meetings with all staff at assigned site.
  • Complete and submit all monthly paperwork for the home to the ABA Program Supervisor by the agreed deadline.
  • Attend monthly POD meetings.
  • Complete and submit Event Report Forms via Sunnyhill’s internal documentation system.
  • Responsible for Lead RBT job duties if there is not a Lead RBT in the home.
  • All other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A direct knowledge of working in the Human Services field, with the developmentally disabled required.
  • At least two years of related experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Completes Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) approved Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) course sequence within two (2) months of being assigned and passes RBT exam within one (1) month of completing course sequence.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and function well in a high-paced (at times stressful) environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (use of personal vehicle required at times).
  • Class E license to operate agency vehicles (when necessary).
  • Acceptable background checks
