Armis, a division of American Auto Shield, is seeking new talent to join its Home Customer Support team in its growing St. Peters office. Founded in 2002, and headquartered in Lakewood, CO, American Auto Shield is an industry leader in Vehicle Service Contract development and claims administration. This position is primarily responsible for taking inbound calls from contract holders. You will follow a standard greeting and information collection process, identify the nature of the call, provide information to callers, and set appropriate expectations.

Reporting to the Home Customer Support Team Lead, this position is responsible for:

  • Answering the phone within standard service level.
  • Handling incoming and outbound calls, averaging up to 70 per day.
  • Collecting information and data from callers and entering it into the claim system.
  • Performing all responsibilities to achieve individual goals for quality, time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Providing callers status on existing claims, resolve caller issues, and refer escalated items to higher levels for guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for Home Customer Support Representative:

  • Ability to work on-site at our headquarters in St. Peters, MO.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, flexible and enjoy working with others.
  • Ability to resolve routine problems.
  • Ability to work within well-defined processes and procedures.
  • Must be able to multi-task during each call; listen to the caller’s issues, inform the caller, determine next steps, document the interaction by typing detailed notes in the claim system. All while delivering an excellent customer experience for the caller.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts and coverage pages.
  • Must be able to adhere to assigned schedule.
  • Basic skill: Microsoft Suite and Internet Software
  • Experience handling inbound calls in a call center environment a plus.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
