Job Opportunity:

This training position will create, document and execute the core training for the Claims team. It includes claims operations process training, certain aspects of claims technical and process training, as well as support for IT system training that integrates with the claim processes. Integration of the quality management and measurement process is expected. The position will require efforts to understand processes that are not fully formed and should be prepared for potential frequent changes as we build and our processes mature. The focus will be on US programs, with global parallel, calibration and expansion.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
  • Update and maintain training documentation in accordance with set standards and guidelines and for presentation to staff, excellent writing skills required
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes
  • Learn procedures to develop standard operating procedures, detailed work instruction, training guides and other training material
  • Contribute to process efficiencies by providing input from learned procedures and interactions with staff
  • Utilize technology to develop and administer multi-media training tools for classroom, web, virtual and independent learning
  • Develop and provide specialized training based on the need of individuals or a department
  • Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in training development
  • Collaborate with the company’s management to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions
  • Provide support and mentoring for new hires while conducting an evaluation and identifying sections where improvements are needed
  • Analyze and review quality measurement outputs to identify and apply additional training and coaching updates to staff

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Background in Commercial Insurance experience is required.
  • Preference is for a strong background in adult learning theory
  • Prior experience working with training software tools to develop multi-media training programs preferred, Adobe Captivate experience is a bonus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals and executives
  • Knowledge of appropriate training methodologies to accommodate a variety of learning styles
  • Hands on style with problem-solving abilities and a solid attention to detail
  • Excellent technology skills and comfort level with changing systems, including emerging automation techniques
  • Ability to work independently and seek out information is vital
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Quick learner with ability to adapt to changing environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the business needs of a culturally diverse global team
  • Multilingual skills are a bonus
