POSITION SUMMARY
KBX Golden, a division of Wind River Environmental, services municipal wastewater systems. In this field-based position, the Lift Station Technician is responsible for completing wastewater lift station maintenance inspections, troubleshoot issues and repairs.
Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: Days
Over Time: Yes, with occasional on-call and weekend hours
Pay: Up to $35 per hour (depending on experience and skill set)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs maintenance, replacement, and repair of various lift station components
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs
- Maintenance and repair of electrical control panels.
- Responds to trouble alarms during normal working hours.
- Responds to emergencies and trouble alarms after hours.
- Work within confined spaces such as manholes, or wet wells.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.
- Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management.
- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Two or more years of experience performing lift station maintenance and repairs.
- Driver's license required, in good standing
- Previous experience working with electrical components (pumps, alarms, control panels)
- Must have experience with Wastewater Lift Stations
- Knowledge and experience with both the mechanical and electrical aspects of lift stations
- Previous experience working on control panels, 3-phase electricity, wastewater pumps, VFD’s and alarms
- Valid driver’s license & ability to comply with DOT regulations
