Job Title: Social Media Manager


Purpose Statement: Connect, equip and empower people to bring the reality of God to their world.


Reports to: Creative Director

 

Responsibilities: The Social Media Manager will work to support the main campus in Hockley by providing and maintaining and managing our social media and app presence to promote and communicate the COF brand and increase engagement and brand awareness.



The Social Media Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Support and fulfill the vision, values and goals of Community of Faith.
  • Demonstrate loyalty and integrity, supporting the unity of the church and its leadership.
  • Understand and align with the main vision of COF, promoting this vision in every ministry context.
  • Social Media Management: Create ongoing interactions and strategic promotions, content, timing and publishing (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube) through posts, stories, videos, music/sermon clips, etc.
  • Create a social media strategy for all accounts
  • Conduct regular audits of analytics and best practices for social media engagement
  • Create social media calendar in conjunction with church events calendar and initiatives.
  • Create video clips and graphics/artwork needed for promotion of upcoming events and experiences
  • Capture important moments through video, photography and stories, including weekend experiences and church events outside the weekend, that can be used on social media platforms.
  • Ensure the timely follow-up of all social media messages, DM’s, etc.
  • Respond to and engage with comments people post within the day
  • Boost/promote ads on Facebook and Instagram for advertising.
  • Maintain the COF App with updated creative content and event promotions
  • Attend weekly meetings with the creative team for planning, collaboration, and vision casting.
  • Weekly attendance to Creative Team meetings.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Anything else assigned by the Lead Pastor or Founding Pastors



Qualifications: 


  • Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
  • High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
  • Driven to constantly improve job functions – not satisfied with status quo
  • Flexibility, focus, and a strong work ethic are essential
  • Ability to take initiative within scope of job duties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar and spelling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality, poise, and tact
  • Ability to be respectful and discerning of confidentiality and privacy
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and against deadlines
  • Self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability in working closely with and leading all ages
  • Demonstrated ability in working closely with and leading volunteers
  • 2 years of experience managing social media accounts for churches/non-profits preferred


Work Schedule:  Full-time, non-exempt. The normal work week is Sunday through Thursday, but some Saturdays will be required (special events). Because of the nature of this ministry, flexibility in scheduling is required.
