Temporary Cleaning Position Available

We are seeking friendly, energetic, janitorial staff to work in a school in the Smyrna area. Janitorial experience preferred, floor work experience a plus Candidate must be able to pass a fingerprint based criminal background check. This position will be temporary for the month of June only. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The shifts are 4 days per week, 10 hours per day. The primary function of this position will be to assist with floor work for one of our school customers, primary duties include assisting with waxing floors and moving furniture. Must be able to move and lift chairs, desks, tables, etc. Looking to start someone ASAP
Janitor responsibilities and duties:
* Perform general clean up of all areas of the building as directed. Including areas such as bathrooms, offices, classrooms, gymnasiums, and auditoriums daily.
* Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and/or parking lots
* Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
* Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
* Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
* Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
Janitor qualifications and skills
* Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts
* Ability to work well under minimal supervision
* Capacity to take direction
* Strong attention to detail
* Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary
* Physically capable of walking up to 3 miles
* Physically capable of bending, stooping and reaching up
The above responsibilities, duties, qualifications and skills are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification. This position is Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Occasional weekend and/or holiday hours may be required. This is a temporary position, only available for the month of June 2024.
