My client, a leading chemical manufacturing company, is looking for an ambitious person for their Buyer position. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the procurement process, as well as experience in working with ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for the best possible prices
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery terms
- Managing the procurement process from start to finish
- Ensuring that all purchases are made in accordance with company policy
- Tracking and monitoring supplier performance
- Resolving supplier disputes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in procurement
- Strong understanding of the procurement process
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ideally experience in a plant or refinery.
