Location: McCandless
Schedule: Monday to Friday 38 – 40 per week
About the position: The assistant director will assist the director in implementing and ensuring compliance with the Pennsylvania Child Care Regulations.The assistant director will support the director’s key responsibilities including ensuring the health, safety, and comfort for all children, developing and implementing program policies, and management/supervision of employees

Experience and education requirements include:
Required:
• Child care center: 4 years (Required)
• Supervisory/Management in Childcare setting: 2 years (Required)
• Associates Degree - two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or area of Child DevelopmentAssociate's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field with relevant work experience including management or supervisory duties within a Childcare/Education setting
Preferred:
· Leadership experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Self-motivated with ability to problem solve and make decisions independently.
· General computer literacy.
· Knowledge in Pennsylvania Licensing regulations.
