We are looking for an entry-level Mechanical Drafter to join our Engineering team at our Springfield, MO office. Headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, Nothum Food Processing Systems is a leading company in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge industrial food processing equipment.
What are we looking for?
- Technical degree with a mechanical design focus or equivalent mechanical design experience.
- 0-3 years experience as a Mechanical Designer/Drafter
- Strong 3D modeling and drawing abilities
- Required to be a Certified SolidWorks Associate or obtain SolidWorks Associate certification within 60 days of hire.
- AutoCad abilities are a plus
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office and similar products
- Experience with stainless steel, sheet metal, or food processing equipment is a plus.
- Good mechanical background is a plus.
- Strong English written and oral communication abilities are a must.
- Ability to work in a team environment and handle solo responsibilities.
- Initiative to perform duties beyond assignment specific responsibilities
- Ability to work Sunday-Saturday as needed for production and/or customer needs.
What will you be doing here?
- Working with other engineering team members to maintain, update, and improve existing business products.
- Create 2d & 3d models, drawings, and BOMs of existing & future business products using SolidWorks with some AutoCad work.
- Create and maintain user manuals, installation instructions and other sales/customer related documentation.
- Work with associates in the shop area, engineering team members, associates in other departments, as well as customers, to solve issues, answer questions and provide information.
