Witron Integrated Logistics Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Safety Coordinator supporting several locations in the U.S. The individual must have a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, and be able to promote safety on a daily basis.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide general safety oversight and performance of both administrative and field safety management responsibilities
  • Monitor project activities with the review of the construction management team and design procedures, programs, and policies affecting construction safety on projects
  • Develop, lead, and train Health and Safety professionals on site
  • Review, investigate and follow up of construction related incidents and accidents
  • Contact for the sites for critical incident management and regulatory agency audits/inspections
  • Plan, administer, and manage organization safety policies, programs, and trainings
  • Coordinate safety issues with the National Safety Manager, On-Site Manager and Maintenance Manager
  • Forklift and other MHE training of employees, equipment inspections and operations monitoring.
  • Management level loss control reviews for all Workers Compensation and Safety Inspections
  • Statistical information to develop and present technical reports
  • Training and Inspection on Fall Protection equipment procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent in industrial or construction safety, warehouse safety or any other related field
  • Several years of experience in managing safety in an operational or functional support role ideally in the warehouse/distribution/logistics environment
  • Willingness to travel for weeks at a time (Ability to process a Passport Required)
  • Travel of 75% is required
  • Able to work 3 weeks traveling to construction sites, one week off.
  • Knowledgeable in General or Construction Industry
  • Considerable knowledge of safety principles, accident prevention and safety equipment
  • Experience with Fork lifts and other MHE (Operation, training, inspections)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to interface and plan effectively with management
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Good analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
