Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for their Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Auburn, New York. The Clinical Supervisor provides oversight of the daily operations of the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and the Children's Mental Health Programs and acts in accordance with all the policies of Cayuga Counseling Services,Inc. and New York State Office of Mental Health codes, rules, and regulations.

The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the following job duties:

  • Directly supervises clinical and non-clinical staff members.
  • Acts as back up to the Clinicians and as necessary provides direct clinical services, such as intakes and crisis intervention services.
  • Chair Incident Review Committee which includes reviewing all incident reports, facilitating monthly meetings, record minutes and reporting required incidents to appropriate agencies or management.
  • Serves on the Utilization Review Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, and recommends in-service training programs to Associate Director.
  • Attends Behavioral Treatment Court, FAST, and SPOA meetings to provide updates to the community.
  • Manages the On-Call calendar for the clinic.
  • Chairs the Youth Services Committee and processes all referrals.
  • Offers cross disciplinary training with education staff including Mental Health First Aide
  • Participates in weekly meetings as assigned.
  • Monitors staff caseloads and productivity weekly, assists with development of corrective action plans for staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (may not be essential)

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in mental health field; LCSW preferred
  • A minimum of six years prior experience in mental health programs providing direct services to children with emotional disturbances and their families.
  • A minimum of two years in a supervisory and administrative capacity is required.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the operations and functions of a mental health clinic as well as outreach and home-based services
  • Must be able to organize and coordinate services available in the community and show sound, independent judgment in decision making.
  • Must have strong leadership skills as well as both strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with individuals and in groups and be successful at developing and fostering professional relationships.
  • Must have the ability to function in a team-based environment.
  • Must have computer experience with work in Microsoft highly preferred.

The Agency offers:

  • 3 Weeks PTO in your first year, 4 weeks in your second year.
