The Development Data Manager is an integral part of the Development Team. This position is responsible for building and growing an effective, sophisticated fundraising program. Through comprehensive data management and analysis, implementation of new strategies and technology, and overall project management, the Development Data Manager will help to acquire, engage, and retain donors and supporters, diversify revenue streams, and heighten the profile of POWER. Analytical thinking and attention to detail are key to this position.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage and maintain the CRM including daily operations of entering gifts, sending acknowledgements, and producing timely, accurate reports, while ensuring the integrity of the data 

  • Work closely with CDO to analyze data, produce reports highlighting fundraising KPIs, and implement fundraising strategies designed to reflect findings 

  • Manage and coordinate Development Projects, including solicitation appeals, with a high degree of customization 

  • Implement and oversee a Grant Management and Grant Research process, working closely with the grant writers at POWER to ensure prospecting, submissions, tracking, and reporting occur on schedule 

  • Reconcile all financials with the Finance Department regularly and ensure accurate reporting and presentations for the Board and the Fundraising & Communications Committee 

  • Lead the process of identifying a new Donor Management Platform that more accurately serves the needs of the Development Team and manage the migration process 

  • Increase automation to drive efficiencies in donor development and customer service through use of technology and AI 

  • Play lead role with the Development Team in event management and online giving 

  • Interact with donors with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy 

Requirements 

  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices is preferred  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required 

  • Two years' experience in database management, including writing queries, building dashboards, and high-level reporting. Knowledge of Salsa CRM is an advantage 

  • Project Management with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills 

  • Proficient in Office 365 

  • Comfortable with AI and learning new technology 

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills 

  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work as a team member 

  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality about donor and client records 

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation, and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution 

  • Open to learning about and supporting a trauma-informed system of care 

  • Works collaboratively with the staff with an attitude of collegiality and mutual respect. 

  • Ability to support the agency’s mission and philosophy and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity and workplace harmony. 

  • Ability to obtain Act 33 and 34 Clearances. 

Working Conditions:  

  • Hybrid position with ability to work at POWER’s program sites, as needed. 

  • Ability to work the hours necessary to complete the work. 

  • Ability to lift light boxes of office supplies.
