As a Life Enrichment Coordinator at Oak Grove, you will be an integral part of our caring and compassionate team, focused on enriching the lives of residents facing memory challenges, such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Your role will involve assisting and collaborating with other team members to plan and execute engaging activities that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, and emotional well-being. By providing meaningful experiences, you will contribute to creating a supportive and nurturing environment that enhances the quality of life for our residents.

Duties include:
  • Create develop, organize and implement activities and programs that are person-centered, and applicable to varying levels of cognitive abilities and needs including individuals with dementia

  • Perform administrative requirements (reports, forms, etc.)

  • Participate in community planning related to the facility

  • Encourage all residents to participate in activities

  • Tracks and keeps a record of resident participation in a timely and efficient manner that is reflective of their attendance, mood, behavior and degree of involvement

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent desirable but not required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Two (2) years’ experience in a social or recreation program.

  • Certification as an activity's director by the State of Indian upon hire or within 6 months of hire.

  • 1-year experience in a supervisory capacity in health care related environment preferred.

  • Indiana CNA license preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

Schedule: M-F 8A - 4:30P
