Job Title: Medical Records Coordinator

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of patient medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organize and maintain patient medical records in a secure and confidential manner
- Ensure all medical records are accurately updated with the latest patient information, test results, and treatment plans
- Process requests for medical records from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other authorized parties in a timely manner
- Verify the accuracy and authenticity of medical records before releasing them to authorized parties
- Assist healthcare providers and administrative staff in accessing and retrieving patient medical records as needed
- Monitor and track the availability and location of medical records to ensure quick access when needed
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding the handling and disclosure of medical records
- Train and educate staff on proper procedures for handling and maintaining medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working with medical records in a healthcare setting preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other related software
