Production Supervisor Spinning D Shift 7P-7A

Supervises, delegates work assignments, and motivates hourly production team members to ensure the attainment of Safety and Production goals and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Supervises hourly team members to carry out production objectives, at lowest cost, consistent with the organization’s safety and quality standards.
Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules.
Ensures efficient utilization of equipment and facilities.
Monitors production quality to ensure product specifications are met.
Maintains daily production and payroll records.
Trains hourly team members on job functions and the operation of various machines.
Coordinates production schedules with other shifts to ensure meeting production goals and deadlines.
Lead weekly shift Safety Talks.
Enforces company policy in all areas including safety and absenteeism. Administers disciplinary action when appropriate.
Maintains cleanliness of the work area, ensures proper handling of tools and equipment, and correct operation of machinery to provide a safe working environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university is preferred. An Engineering background is preferred.
3 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) is an asset.
LEAN manufacturing experience.
Able to constantly stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs. on a routine basis, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
