PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The primary functions include providing manufacturing support straightening operations. Ensure product conformity to appropriate specifications and prints.


QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following:

  • Receive, analyze casting conformity to technique card and or blueprint requirements.
  • Mechanically straighten castings utilizing appropriate fixturing and gaging.
  • Inspect castings with gaging and or overlay to ensure proper adherence to specifications.
  • Visual inspection of castings.
  • Able to straighten / manually manipulate all configurations of castings to ensure dimensional compliance.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Follow all safety regulations and rules applying to department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED. A minimum of one years' straightening experience required.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, operating instructions, work instructions, customer supplied procedures, and routers.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technique cards and or technical instructions in running wax molding machines.
