The Fire Sprinkler Installation Technician will contribute to the safety and protection of people and property by ensuring the proper functioning of fire suppression systems.Job Responsibilities
  • Perform installations of various types of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout and placement of sprinkler heads, valves, and piping systems.
  • Understand project scope of work and communicate field changes to field supervision, for change order processing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and connect pipes using various tools and equipment, ensuring accurate fit and alignment.
  • Install valves, risers, and other components of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with regulations.
  • Work closely with a team of technicians to coordinate installation projects, share knowledge, and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers, project managers, and contractors, to coordinate installation schedules and resolve any technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections performed, ensuring compliance withdocumentationand reporting requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire sprinkler systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience
  • 5 years of experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Capabilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the FLS industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, including different types, components, and installation methods.
  • Knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changingpriorities
Education, Licensure & Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • NICET Level 1 Certification preferred.
  • CalFire Certified Fitter Card.
