Role Overview:This full-time position focuses on driving commercial vehicles on dedicated routes to deliver goods to Staples locations. As a crucial team member, you will be responsible for maintaining delivery schedules and ensuring the highest safety standards are met in your daily operations.
Primary Responsibilities:- Safely operate and drive Class A commercial vehicles on preset routes for timely deliveries to Staples stores.
- Adhere strictly to delivery schedules and collaborate with dispatch for effective route planning.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and report any maintenance requirements.
- Secure cargo according to DOT regulations to ensure safe transit and prevent any damages.
- Accurately record driving hours and vehicle maintenance as per regulatory standards.
- Ensure excellent customer service by communicating effectively with Staples personnel during deliveries.
- Comply with company policies and prioritize safety measures for efficient operations.
- Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a good driving record.
- Minimum of 3 months of experience as a CDL-A Truck Driver.
- Comprehensive understanding of DOT regulations and road safety requirements.
- Ability to pass a detailed background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
