Job Description

BeVera Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Statistician. The Statistician (Mid-Level) is responsible for managing and analyzing complex datasets, interpreting data, and assisting in the drafting of methodology sections for research plans and manuscripts. The role involves collaborating with data collection and research staff to develop and conduct model connections, analyze results, and prepare summaries of findings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and analyze selected datasets using advanced statistical techniques.
  • Interpret data and draft methodology sections for research plans and manuscripts.
  • Assist statistics, data collection, and research staff in developing and conducting model connections.
  • Analyze results and prepare comprehensive summaries of findings.
  • Ensure data management processes are followed and maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate with CDC team members and other stakeholders to support research activities.
  • Provide statistical expertise in the design and analysis of research studies.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, social science, public health, or an applicable field of study, with three additional years of relevant experience, OR 10+ years of relevant work experience in research design, applied methodology, and analyses.
  • Experience with generalized linear modeling, ANOVA, regression (linear, binomial, logistic), structural equation modeling, and multilevel modeling.
  • Proficiency in using advanced analytic packages such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, SUDAAN, R, or Mplus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to changing project requirements.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data management and cleaning procedures.
  • Familiarity with governmental data standards and protocols.
  • Experience in public health research or related fields.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences.


Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to provide creative input and contribute to strategic planning discussions.
