Exercise Planner

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The Exercise Planner supports the US Navys Fleet Forces Command with exercise OPLAN, CONPLAN, and Supporting Plan staffing and development efforts in its roles as NAVNORTH/JFMCC, NAVSTRAT, and CTF-80. The Exercise Planner works as part of a small team to assist in the development, coordination, preparation, and execution of Joint and Service exercises. This includes participation in Joint Exercise Life Cycle events, review of Joint Training Plans, exercise data collection and readiness assessments, and Lessons Learned/Corrective Action Plan development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Five years of recent experience serving on a CCDR, NFC, NCC, Joint, senior flag, or Service staff.
* Three years of recent experience serving in a J5 or N5 operational or exercise planning position on CCDR, NFC, NCC, or Joint Force Commander staff.
* Knowledge and experience with Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS); Joint and Service Lessons Learned; Joint Training, Exercise, and Evaluation Program; Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)/Joint Training Tool (JTT); Joint Operation Planning Execution System (JOPES); Time-Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD); Navy Service capabilities at the operational level of war; Maritime Operations Centers (MOC) and/or Joint Operations Centers (JOC); Navy and Joint command and control policy and relationships.
* Eligible for DoD Top Secret security clearance
* Proficient with Microsoft Office products

* Education: Bachelor's degree or higher
