Position Summary
You are responsible for the daily scheduling of all production orders, ensuring proper coordination between the production lines and the stock room. You oversee the short-term and long-term hardware availability and proactively follow up with the supply chain department, in line with your management to ensure continuous production flow.
Responsibilities
- Working with the logistics team, you will set the priorities regarding the transportation of hardware between manufacturing sites and arrange urgent shipments as needed.
- Audit ERP data for all in-factory hardware movements to ensure good quality of the data.
- Propose and implement improvements to the planning processes.
- Understand and keep track of basic supply chain architecture abilities.
- Identify and resolve issues regarding the execution scheduling system with the SCADA Engineering Team.
- Work with international teams across the organization to ensure efficient planning.
- Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
- Shall be able to understand multi-level product and scheduling processes.
- General knowledge of data mining to analyze data and provide actionable plans. Ensure production orders are scheduled, prioritized and aligned with available resources
- Track weekly progress of orders, identify critical path schedules, and advise stakeholders of required adjustments to scheduled plan.
- Perform critical path analysis and variance analysis as required.
- This position reports to the Senior Materials and Production Planner and is located in Merritt Island, Florida.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Certification(s):
- Certified In Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification a plus.
Experience:
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment required.
- Capability to understand basic aerospace engineering terms and practices, mostly for working context.
- Apply critical thinking skills to help solve problems.
- Highly proficient in written and spoken English. Verbal French and Spanish a plus, not required.
- Proven experience of managing deadlines based on project expectations.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
- Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
- Skilled in the use of Outlook, Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and TEAMS.
- Strong background in material management.
- Strong background in production planning.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and related software. SAP experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Carrying: able to carry documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Lifting: able to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
