POSITION: Resident Assistant (Full-time, Non-Exempt)

COMPENSATION: Pursuant to CA regulations, if this job is performed in CA, the salary range is $18 - $20 plus bonus potential.

DIRECT REPORT: Community Manager

SUMMARY

As a Resident Assistant, you are primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service, with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and an overall positive experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

  • Demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude with team members, residents, clients and the public.

  • Serve as liaison for Community Manager with residents, guarantors, and property vendors.

  • Ensure tenants are provided a clean, safe, and well-maintained community.

  • Work with residents to ensure positive tenant and community relations.

  • Utilize Cardinal leasing expectations and procedures to warmly greet prospective clients, qualify, determine needs and preferences and professionally present the property and apartment homes.

  • Assist the Leasing and Marketing Team Lead in planning and executing all resident events.

  • Maintain accurate client records in accordance with Company policy.

  • Responsible for a set hour each day to meet directly with residents to address complaints, disputes or suggestions.

  • Responsible for a set hour each morning to conduct building/grounds inspections and send an email to management notifying them of any issues; issues to include (but not limited to): cleanliness of the property, common areas, kitchens, bathroom, trash, landscape and maintenance.

  • Responsible for answering and addressing any phone on-calls for a period of time as assigned by management. Any disputes/ issues should be logged and sent to management.
  • Maintain and perform upkeep of the tour route to ensure curb side appeal.

  • Assist residents with day-to-day tasks, as a part of the community's concierge program, while developing and creating a community.

  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Enjoy and take pride in providing excellent service

  • High-energy and great with people in person and on the phone

  • Excellent verbal, written and computer skills

  • Strong database management skills preferred

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred USC student

  • Available to work evenings and weekends

  • Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal Core Values every day

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to use hands to finger, type, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and climb, stoop, or squat. Incumbents must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities and must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions including, but not limited to rain, snow, heat, hail, wind and sleet.

The Team Member must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver office products and supplies of up to thirty (30) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Routine local travel may be required to assist properties as needed, attend training classes, business meetings, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
