Role Summery:

The HSE Manager will lead SIS' safety initiatives by developing site specific and comprehensive safety programs, conduct risk assessments, train new and existing employees, and ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations. The role involves close collaboration with management and staff to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the customers to promote positive employee and community well being.
  • Guide the organization in compliance and best practices.
  • Engage the local teams and corporate structure to ensure HSE policies are effective
  • Conduct and coach root cause analysis processes for high risk events 
  • Creating and implementing programs and policies for risk reduction and mitigation
  • Empowering employees and coaching leadership on improvement driven safety culture
  • Conducting field observations, collecting, and presenting data.
  • Experience with utilities, field construction, traffic, electrical safety and warehousing safety.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time in the south west region of the United States.

Job Skills:

  • 4-year degree in safety or related field 
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Safety certification preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and listening skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, slide presentations, and work processing
  • Start up experience is a plus
