Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. The Service Advisor/Writer plays a pivotal role in our operation, serving as the primary liaison between our customers and our skilled technicians. This role offers a solid pay plan with uncapped commissions and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k with matching, and life insurance. Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to assess their automotive service needs and provide expert recommendations.
- Utilize your sales expertise to effectively prioritize and sell needed services and products.
- Coordinate service appointments and manage the repair process from start to finish.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service transactions.
- Collaborate closely with our team of technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and warranty issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Sales Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an independent automotive repair shop or automotive dealership as a writer or advisor, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Fluent Automotive Background: Solid understanding of automotive parts, repair, and service procedures.
- Organizational & Focus Skills: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions and interruptions.
- Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in using Windows-based computer systems, including word processing and spreadsheet software. Typing or dictation skills of at least 30 words per minute.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to effectively communicate over the phone.
- Math Skills: Basic math proficiency, including the ability to perform calculations using a calculator.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to enter and exit various vehicles independently.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle with passengers.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
